There's a few people on my psn friends list it at the moment, was thinking about buying it but the choice of games that I want at the moment is pretty big and I cant afford more than 1 every few weeks.
From what I can gather they reckon its a poor version of burnout paradise.

Bad buy

Post  Spruijt on Mon Nov 10, 2008 2:58 am

Midnight club is rubbish. It's a mix of Burnout and GTA, but with all the bad elements of those games combined. The graphics suck and the gameplay even more.
Like Bros in Arms Hells Highway, I had high hopes. But no, I want to sit in a corner of the room and cry a bit.

I have it now - and love it. Would have preferred NFS, but the reviews have totally slated it and say to that Midnight Club is the better.

Ok not as good as Burnout on the graphics front, but the City feels alive and there are some nice touches where the camera zooms up into the sky and over the city to different locations.

The in game (single player) chat is a bit daft - I won two races and was leading the third, and was getting one liners of how crap I was and I can't win races - even though I had won the first two!

Not tried online yet, gonna get some decent cars first.
